A sleeping child,
so peaceful and serene…
unperturbed by the outside world,
somewhat sensing she’s still
in her mother’s womb.
Those tiny little feet…
the delicate fingers, closing and opening…
with ears open only to silence.
The lips, those eyes and nose…
sleeping soundlessly.
Yet instinctively aware
that once she opened her eyes
to the cry of this muddled world,
the same peace and serenity will be there…
giving her solace…
in the arm’s of her mother.
