This one ivy-leaf morning glory stands out among the tropical white ones that I found in our backyard. What really awed me was its’ luminous purple color… like it’s glowing.
I *love* purple morning glories! 😀 They use to grow around our garbage pit in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya. 🙂 They made the whole area look beautiful. These are amazing photos of them. Do you find your camera can’t quite capture the identical purple? That’s what I found with my iPhone when I photographed them a couple years ago.
Purple is my *favourite favourite* colour!! 🙂
Love from Rach 🙂
rachel, hello! how have you been? wasn’t able to check on your update this couple of weeks… enjoying your new home, i hope. yes, i know purple is you favorite color – that’s what i thought when i first learned the photo challenge theme for this week. 🙂 so wonderful to hear from you again, thank you! 🙂
Hi GreatGreths,
It’s a joy to be back here on your Blog. It seems I haven’t been here in ages! 🙂
I love your butterflies too! I didn’t know there are black and white monarchs. I’m wondering if they might be a different kind? Or I just might not know butterflies much. haha!
We used to get huge black and red butterflies on our big calamansi tree in Bagabag. They were *beautiful*. Their catepillars ate there too. They were enormous. 🙂
I look forward to seeing many more of your beautiful photos. 🙂 They make me homesick in a happy way. I love the Philippines!
Love from your friend Rach.
or maybe i was wrong thinking it’s a monarch… it’s really hard to classify them. 🙂 i really am happy to see you here again. 🙂
You really captured the luminous purple color! Wow!
